I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you score your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
Placed my order on April 28th golden sneakers men’s and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they cost?
When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their standard price is $513.91.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

They only needed minimal break-in time.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
